BanaBay Appoints Logistics Expert


To keep pace with the global expansion of its customer base, BanaBay has appointed Ian Shuttlewood as Logistics Manager to protect the quality of it fresh produce on its journey from plantation to customer.


Ian has considerable experience in shipping and logistics industry ranging from the customs and licensing aspects of freighting to refrigerated shipping.  His last role was at Maersk where he was responsible for shipments of meat fish and fresh produce (including bananas, pineapples and melons) for major retailers from regions including Latin America, the Caribbean and Northern Europe.


At BanaBay Ian will be refining logistics for all current customer destinations and has been working hard to understand requirements right down to the local level.  He says:


“My aim is to assist in continuing the massive growth already seen in the first few years of business by being able to source cost effective and efficient logistics solutions to meet our customers’ needs whilst ensuring product is delivered at the best quality available.”
